Eviction Notice Legal Advice Clinic (Remote)

San Diego Volunteer Law Project (SDVLP) Tenants’ Rights Program (TRP) is launching a new remote legal advice clinic for low-income tenants who have received pre-litigation eviction notices.  Tenants will be paired with volunteer attorneys who will review their eviction notices, provide legal advice about their rights and options, and discuss next steps in the process.  The clinic will be held remotely via Zoom.  Participation is by appointment only, and all tenants must reside in San Diego County and meet our financial guidelines.  SDVLP is not LSC-funded and undocumented tenants facing eviction are encouraged to apply.  Details are below:

What: Eviction Notice Legal Advice Clinic (Remote) hosted by the San Diego Volunteer Law Project (SDVLP)

When: Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. 

Where: Via Zoom (calling in via telephone okay)

Who: Low-income San Diego tenants who have received a 15-/30-/60-/90-day eviction notice and who have not yet been served with an Unlawful Detainer complaint

Interested tenants should call: (619) 235-5656 x127 to be screened for eligibility.  Space is limited.  

Interested tenants should be prepared to complete an intake form and submit proof of household income, a copy of the eviction notice, and a copy of their lease agreement (if applicable).
